WatchIt’s friday. Today “make something cool” post. Hey dude, where’s my plane ! :-) [Rough cut] - On thursday I was shooting some test shots along the runway of the local airport. AIR FRANCE Boeing 777 was just landing. I didn’t think it was so close ! Someday I’ll make some motion tracking on this plane, just for fun.
2012. Webdesign is The Lethal Weapon
11.00 AM - I got an email from a client green-lighting a long awaited project. Web development and webdesign for a couple of days. As a graphic designer I do prefer print work, but - sincerely - it’s rare, very rare now. This year most of my clients are moving to the WWW with more faith than ever. I’ve been waiting for that momentum for years. Let’s do some html5 ! :-)

Skills for my new year
1 - Add THE FOUNDRY NUKE to my personal palette of tools. Not for mockups and demos, but for real high end productions. It’ll cost a new term @ FxPhd, and maybe an online course @ Escape Studios. In a perfect world, I would be able to go to London this spring, just to attend the IRL course @ Escape Studios… 18 weeks of intensive Compositing. Hey dude, do you have 10K£ ? :-)

DAY #2 - La Conquista (First part) - Make someting...
Working today on an establishing shot for a movie test. The movie is supposed to be about the dramatic conquest of Americas by the conquistadores. The shot is supposed to be set in Hispaniola, but we shot the test in Martinique (south of Windwards Islands). We had nothing on set, just trees and a bright blue sky.
I have to re-create all the elements : add boats, smoke, heavy skies....

Yes! From today to next christmas, I’ll post a design (print, video, web ) every single opening day. (In other words : not on saturday and sunday, because I wish I can keep my family alive too in 2012 ).-
